I would be lying if I told you that writing this entry was something that I’ve been excited about. To be fair, I’ve been dreading it.

“Home Companion” was the very first thing I recorded for Songs for a Halfway Home. The entire song was done in a few hours, just days after I had written it, and was tracked completely by myself, with the exception of an appearance on the tambourine by the spectacular Tyler Townsend. The song was also recently featured in a New York State Travel Commercial by the Guard Llama comedy troupe, featuring my dear friend Kevin Hinman and one of those insatiable Walano brothers. This isn’t necessarily the stuff I’ve been apprehensive about writing about, though.
