Last night, I met Rivers Cuomo.
It was a strange turn of events. I responded to a Facebook post he made earlier in the day, and ended up getting free tickets to a fantastic, intimate performance of Macbeth in Santa Monica. Afterwards, I had the opportunity to thank him and tell him that he was the reason that I make music. I gave him one of my Darling stickers and he told me that he would put it on his guitar.
Every once in a while, the stars will line up just right, I promise.
Greetings Space Cadets!
I am pleased to announce that I have officially wrapped up tracking my new record, The Love and the Volume. It is certainly a whirlwind of an album, featuring the most bombastic and eclectic assortment of musical moments that I have ever been a part of. It’s loud, it’s heartfelt, and it is over the top. I sincerely hope you get as much joy out of listening to it as I did creating it.
That being said, I can’t thank you guys enough for the outpouring of positive feedback about the new single, Darling. All things considered, completing this album has been the greatest challenge of my life to date. The support you have shown has really meant a great deal to me. If you haven’t heard the single yet, feel free to check it out right here. (NSFW)
Finally, you might have noticed a couple changes to arisoncain.com. With the new record on the horizon, expect even more updates as things start kicking into high gear for yours truly. I’m cookin’ up some awesome dishes right now, and an official announcement about the album release is coming soon, I promise.
